This month we are featuring Locations by Orin Swift. His vision for these wines was quite simple: Make the best possible wine from a given country or location.

After trying them all it was incredibly difficult to choose just one or two so…we decided to feature all four!

“At the foot of the Andes Mountains in Mendoza, Argentina lies a vineyard site ideally suited for our first wine made in the Southern Hemisphere. Extremely well drained and alluvial in profile, the yields are low and the berries are small. For years, our friends have spoken highly about the area despite the twenty-six hour travel time to get there. Now we know why and eagerly look forward to the next harvest.”

“Priorat, Jumilla, Toro, Rioja, and Ribera del Duero are among the most noble growing regions on the Iberian Peninsula and purposely chosen for the second release of our Spanish red wine. Super concentrated fruit from old vines with low yields are accented with a judicious oak program for a balanced and distinctive wine.”

“Beginning in the south near the townships of Torricella and Manduria in Puglia, we finished up north at Alba in Piemonte. Diverse components were meticulously assembled that represent the finest from each region. The result is a vibrant wine that captures the spirit of Italy with a touch of new world bravado.”

“French red wine sourced from some of the finest locations throughout France. Grenache from the Roussillon, Syrah from the Rhone, and assorted Bordeaux varietals have been sensibly blended in an original style that showcases the best of what this historic land has to offer.”
