W.O.W.: A 90-Point Argentinean Cab for How Much?
This week’s W.O.W. is a tasty gem from Mendoza that is sustainably farmed, approachable, affordable and filled with layers of flavor. This is a lot of wine for the price!
2013 Tilia Cabernet Sauvignon
90 Points, The Wine Advocate: “Mostly from Medrano, Junin and Barrancas in east Mendoza with 10% of the grapes from the Uco Valley fermented together in stainless steel and cement vats. It has a serious, clean and focused nose with perfectly ripened fruit, berries and cherries plus a hint of spices and a notable absence of green notes, perhaps a hint of mint that add freshness. The palate is polished, revealing some dusty tannins with very good balance.”
As always, we have a bottle open for tasting all week in the wine room. Get one while it lasts! Or maybe two!
