A 2010, 91 Point Bordeaux from beautiful family owned estate Chateau Lyonnat. 2010 was such an excellent vintage in Bordeaux but there just aren’t many of the beauties left in the market. Our wine team loves this family and their wines and we are sure you will too.
At under $20 a bottle, they won’t last long…
2010 Chateau Lyonnat Lussac-Saint-Emilion
From one of the oldest and largest estates in the appellation. The 128 acre vineyard is situated on clay-limestone slopes with a South-Eastern exposure. The wine is traditionally vinified in temperature-controlled cement tanks and aged in oak barrels. Deep ruby in color with aromas of spice cake, licorice and ripe red fruit. The palate is powerful and smooth, with very elegant and blended tannins. Pairs well with grilled meats, duck, lamb and cheese.
91 Points, Wine Enthusiast: “This is an opulent wine. It has great fruit, big tannins that are well integrated into the fruit, and a fine future. A dark, ripe and very age worthy wine.”
