91 Point, All American White Wine to Beat the Heat
What could be better for 4th of July weekend then popping open an absolutely delicious bottle of 100% Estate grown Chenin Blanc? Opening up two! This week we are bringing in July with an all American beauty from Washington State.
2013 Kiona Chenin is 100% Estate grown on beautiful Red Mountain from 30+ year old vines. Chenin Blanc is often overlooked in the United States but is used to make some of the world’s greatest food wines in France’s Loire Valley and does exceptionally on Red Mountain.
A crisp, clean wine that is immensely easy to enjoy. This off-dry Chenin Blanc has refreshing aromas of tart green apples, juicy ripe pear and fresh cut papaya. Mouthwatering acidity makes this a perfect hors d’oeuvres wine and a superb companion to seafood. Wine Enthusiast gave this gem 91 Points and a Best Buy pick for the summer and we couldn’t agree more!
